Large Amethyst Cocktail Ring, 25ct Gemstone with 1.5ct Diamonds in Heavy 18k Gold Estate Ring Size 10
A bold and eye catching heavyweight (approx. 17.5 grams) cocktail ring in 18k gold. Measuring approx. 21mm x 16mm (a generous 25ct) the central stone is violet toned on the finger with occasional flashes of reddish pink. When held to the light the amethyst shows a range of shades; from the palest lavender to a swirl of deeper dark purple. The stone is internally clear with light surface wear - there is some dulling to the table due to this.
The amethyst is prong set, framed in gold and surrounded by 17 brilliant cut diamonds. These are sparkling white and measure just under 3mm giving a total weight of 1.5ct. We estimate their colour to be G/H and that the majority of them are VVS2/VS1. 4 of them range in clarity from S12-I1.
The gemstones are raised approx. 15mm high above the finger in a yellow gold open basket mount, allowing light to reach the stones so they can really sparkle and dazzle. The face of the ring measures approx. 27mm x 22mm and is set upon a chunky 4mm solid gold band, reinforced upon either side with further gold supports.
