Antique yellow gold coin pendant featuring a rare 22ct George V 1926 1/2 sovereign with an SA stamp above the date for the Pretoria South Africa mint, presented in an ornate scrollwork 9ct gold mount. Would look fabulous paired with a long heavy weight gold chain.
Measures approx. 1.5 inches from top to bottom of mount. Mount is hallmarked 9k gold, London 1986 and is in very good condition with light surface wear. Sovereign depicts George V to one side and St George slaying the dragon to the other. It is in very good condition with some light surface wear. Mount frame is thick and so slightly overlaps the edge of the picture on the St George side of the sovereign.
