This eye catching vintage fire opal dress ring is set with a large (approx 12mm x 12mm) cushion cut square cabochon Ethiopian Welo opal. Prong set to each corner, the central precious opal is alight with a spectrum of colours, dominated by neon green and orange with lively flashes of blue and red. This stunning honey tone gemstone has a fantastic play of colour that is still clearly visible when held at arms length. The prong setting is unobtrusive and allows the beautiful opal to dominate. It is cushioned in a raised gallery by a pair of small but clear & sparkling diamonds on either side, bevel set in white gold. The 18k yellow gold band has orange/rose tones in places and features 12 twinkling chip diamonds illusion set in white gold.
In very good pre-loved condition, there are some light surface scratches/marks to the opal, as well as some tiny black marks to one side - these are noticeable upon close inspection and shown clearly in the photos but they do not detract from it's appearance when being worn.
